After clay and grass, the shining stars of world tennis moved on to hard court this week in Toronto. The first brawl to erupt yesterday was the one between Canadian Frank Dancevic (originally from Croatia) and Serb Novak Djokovic. The Australian Open champion 2008 sent the interestingly-hairstyled local packing, with a clean 6-4, 6-4 win.
Andy Roddick had to fight harder to defeat French Nicolas Mahut in 3 sets. And today, Marat Safin will have a chance to prove that his Wimbledon second youth is still in full effect.
