The fall issue of Vman inaugurates the new quarterly periodicity of the fashion magazine. Petey Wright won the right to be on the cover, thanks to a casting call organized last spring by Ford Models. He is joined inside by two other finalists, AJ and Adam, in a photo-editorial shot by Hedi Slimane, “V is for Victory”.
New York Magazine asked Petey — a Jim Carey fan — about his experience with the former creative director of Dior Homme. “He told me that he only shoots new faces because they still have that innocence in their eyes. He said that if he had it his way, he would have told me to bring my suitcase and he would have shot me in all of my clothes.” But VMan and stylist Nicola Formichetti had the last word and dressed up Petey, AJ and Adam in Calvin Klein, Versace and Givenchy.
The 19-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, has ambitions to be a pro wrestler and would love to be on the cover of WWE magazine.
Ohio native AJ has the broadest shoulders, though.
