After DMK designs and Anton Antipov yesterday, here is the new Bruno Banani campaign. The German fashion label spared no expense and hired Clint Mauro, a Giorgio Armani favorite.
Clint’s story is somewhat unusual. Originally from Indiana — and of Italian descent –, Clint moved to L.A. to pursue a career in modeling and acting. He tried to get in with some of the local modeling agencies with no luck. He was actually scouted by agent and photographer Al David while working at an Abercrombie and Fitch store, which eventually lead to him becoming a model for the company. He then spent some time with Al in Miami to fine-tune his style for the modeling industry, and when he returned to L.A., the agencies that initially rejected him were all suddenly interested in representing him. Details do matter.
Clint Mauro shot to fame when he was photographed for the Armani Exchange underwear campaign. He is now signed with Nous Model Management in LA, IMG Models in New York and Why Not Models in Milan.
The 22-year-old once explained that his father actually named him after Eastwood. And he’d love to meet the actor: “I admire his work and the path that he took to get there.”
His hobbies include writing, studying acting, snowboarding, working out, playing basketball and going to nice restaurants for dinner.
