Jérémy Amelin reached the finals of French reality-competition show “Star Academy” in 2005, and he hasn’t stopped singing since then. In 2007, the busy Frenchman even launched his own clothing line under the label Elektrode.
“My aim was to create a unique brand and combine electro music and textile with allure and modernity,” he explains on the Elektrode website. “Our designs appeal to a young and classy crowd, not the ultra-fashionistas. Our customers are fashion-conscious but minimalist at heart, they’re not exhibitionists.”
Jérémy is currently promoting the fall-winter 2008-2009 Elektrode collection. What about a mesh vest that reveals its internal structure? Or a metallic linen pants ? The combinations can be quite daring, but the designs are always streamlined and made of top-notch fabrics.
Philippe Escalier, editor in chief of French magazine Sensitif, was invited to the shooting of the new campaign, and he sent us his best behind-the-scenes snaps.
Move on to the gallery and meet the Elektrode models: Thomas Pottier, Édouard (above) and Marc.
