A few weeks ago, we told you about the inaugural issue of Vogue Hommes Japan and its fashion director, Japanese-Italian stylist Nicola Formichetti.

The first issue will go on sale tomorrow September 10th, and we just could not resist another go at ‘Samurai Fiction’, the incredible 24-page cover story shot by Hedi Slimane and styled by Nicola. Warrior Ash Stymest (Models 1) killed Fred with the Hello Kitty mask (above), and me with the kabuto — Japanese for samurai helmet — and naked shoulders shot.

We added two images of another photo-editorial, ‘Head Case!’, by British model-turned-photographer — and former Formichetti accomplice at Dazed and Confused — William Selden. The blackened face belongs to Kevin (Junes Modeling Agency – Tokyo). And our gallery closes on Stuart Jones and Josh Blount -– both from Select Models –, photographed by Mariano Vivanco.
