Simon Nessman was the Natural Pick for A Magazine

A Magazine is based in Florence, Italy, and published twice a year. The first issue was launched in June 2004. They use a creative team of editors, a guest curator — an international fashion designer, group or fashion house — and an international network of contributors. Riccardo Tisci, creative director of Givenchy, is the curator of the fall issue (#8). Friends, artists and people he admires were invited to share their vision of his work.

Given the short list of keywords included in the creative brief — religion, romanticism, darkness, raw street and contrasting — we say that Simon Nessman was quite the natural pick. He’s photographed by Willy Vanderperre (above) — who already did Givenchy’s fall-winter 2008 campaign with him, and by Stewart Shining in an editorial titled ‘Pomeriggio nel West Village’ (Afternoon in the West Village).
