Men's Stories Model Fabien

As we promised you last week, we interviewed Histoires d’Hommes’ (Men’s Stories) increasingly popular model Fabien (above, top left).

What can you tell us about you?
My name is Fabien, I’m 21, 5′10 and 155lbs. I live in Montpellier, France. I’m state-employed, straight and currently single.

When did you start posing?
It all started two years ago. First with Jean-Bruno, a photographer from the south of France who is also the publisher of LOM, a gay magazine.

You are prominently featured in Histoires d’Hommes. Do you like the result?
I’m quite happy with it, but not surprised. I knew we were doing a good job.

Was nudity an issue?
No. Given the professionalism of the photographer, Joseph Caprio, it was relatively easy to pose that way.

There’s not a single full frontal nude picture of you. Is that something you don’t want to do?
Yes, I don’t want to cross that line.

The book features relatively explicit scenes. How did that work between you and the other models, before and after the shooting?
We laughed about it! All the guys I posed with were straight, and I think that helped a great deal.

You also model for gay phone chat and dating services ads. Are you aware that thousands of guys fantasize about you?
Selling fantasy is the whole point of modeling. I’m comfortable with my sexuality, and the fact that guys like me too is not a problem at all.

How do you maintain such a fit body?
Exercise is essential my this line of work. You can’t be a couch potatoe and please people.

What’s the part of your body that you like most?
Probably my torso. But I never really thought about that.

Is modeling a side or full-time job for you?
A side job. I knew from the start it would never be a full-time thing.

You also promote the Garçons du Sud photobooks in nightclubs. What can you tell us about these shows?
I walk, dance and pose for the audience, that’s the concept. I like the kind of proximity with people that I get during the shows.

What’s coming up? New books? New campaigns?
I don’t know yet, but I sure hope so. I think people like me, and I intend to keep on doing photobooks and shows as long as they want me to.

You can order Joseph Caprio’s Histoires d’Hommes (Men’s Stories) online for around $10.
