Gladiator Roderick Bradley

Remember Royal Marine commando and gladiator David McIntosh a k a Tornado? Well, here is another fighter who recently caught our attention. Grantham-born Roderick Bradley (above) is an American footballer, captain and wide receiver for the 2007 Brit Bowl champions London Blitz. He was selected to be in the Great British Lions squad and was previously the captain of the Great Britain American Football youth team. The 25-year-old 6′3″ tall Englishman is now one of the 12 Gladiators on Sky One’s 2008 reboot of the cult TV series of the same name. Rod thinks the main qualities a gladiator needs are a strong character and athleticism. “It isn’t just about looking good,” he says. “You have to be able to move well and, if you can’t, that will show immediately.” And when asked if he has any weakness the contenders might be able to exploit, he snaps: “No, don’t be silly.”

Roderick’s theme tune is a huge weakness though, wethinks. Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler? Oh come on!

Now, who else made our tender hearts skip a beat or two lately? Meet latino model Julian Gonzalez (below), yet another stunner discovered by Red NYC and lensed by Samuel Zakuto. And speaking of Sam, we also added to the gallery a couple new shots of model and former Israeli soldier Ram Boneh.
