Outgoing ITV director of entertainment Paul Jackson said he had ‘high hopes’ for Britannia High. But in spite of heavy promotion, the show proved no match for BBC1’s veteran program Antiques Roadshow, and even dropped to pitiful ratings with its latest episodes — 3.3 million viewers and a 14% share. But Mr Jackson is not the only one living with shattered hopes.
Take Lauren and Claudine, for instance. Danny (Mitch Hewer) (above) kissed them both but still hasn’t made up his mind. Or Jez, the only gay character of the bunch, who’s soon to become the only one that Danny hasn’t touched…
Anyway, Mitch’s hair is getting a little better, and the last episode of the 9-part drama airing this Saturday on ITV1 (it will contain a mixture of recorded and live scenes) will hopefully answer the pressing question: Lauren or Claudine? The Jez and Danny kiss scene will probably remain in limbo have to wait until season 2, if the show is ever renewed.

Oh my, that’s really cute boys in the gallery! – the show sounds horrible though…
