Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham is on a short-term loan to AC Milan during the Major League Soccer’s close-season, and is due to return to the Los Angeles Galaxy ahead of the start of the 2009 season on March 21. On December 29, he joined the Italian club at their winter training camp in Dubai, along with the the rest of the Milan squad, including Ronaldinho, Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko. Special measures have been taken to protect the former England captain after a number of reports suggested the international treasure — and universal sweetheart — could be targeted by terrorists (not the Lozano type).

On his first day of training, Davey unveiled a small new tattoo on the football pitch. It can be seen on the inside of his already heavily-inked left arm, sitting right under the biceps. The design — created by his regular artist Louis Malloy — is a Hebrew translation of My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.

Whatever. Must be yet another one of Victoria’s mind control thingies.
