Christian Cooke started his acting career at age 10. Following parts in shows like Robin Hood and Doctor Who, Demons marks the 22-year-old Brit’s first lead role — he stars alongside iconic Life on Mars actor Philip Glenister. The new ITV1 fantasy drama tells the story of Luke Rutherford (Christian Cooke), a college kid who lives in a loft with his mum. Over the course of the first episode that aired last Saturday, Luke learns that he’s the last descendant in the Van Helsing line and that he must battle against the underworld.
Season one of Demons finished shooting back in April, but Christian has already made his next move: “I’ve just finished another series called Trinity for ITV2 with a few naked scenes in it, so that was an incentive to hit the gym! I try and keep fit. If Demons goes again, it’ll probably be in April 2009, so I should have plenty of time to hit the gym and get fit again.”
