While David Beckham is still pondering his next career move — Milan or L.A.? — he remains Motorola’s main honcho for all their major wireless gizmos, including their latest ridiculously expensive US$2,000 Aura handset. Beckham certainly looks hot in the new commercial, but probably not enough to save Moto’s woefully underperforming mobile devices group. In 2008, the company announced plans to sell the group, but couldn’t find a buyer, and has basically put that plan on hold as the economy tanks. Meanwhile, handset development seems to have slowed to a crawl just as the smartphone industry heats up.
Still, what a sexy way to go under! Here are the commercial and the behind-the-scenes video for you to peep — and the best screenies are in the gallery.
