We’d all better take a good look at the faux-vintage photographs from his 2002 Gymnasium monograph, or at his latest and more contemporary perspective about Exercise at Home, because Luke Smalley is no more.

Among those grieving his death, stylist and Vogue Hommes Japan fashion director Nicola Formichetti, who worked closely with the American art photographer on several projects, like the above edits for Another Magazine [left] and Dazed and Confused [right].
