It all began nicely enough last Saturday in Dunedin, New Zealand with Otago students playing nude rugby at Logan Park before the All Blacks-France Test at the Carisbrook ground. The parody Kiwi team crushed their beret-toting opponents two to zero.

All changed when the actual Test took place a few hours later, though. The visiting French scored three tries to two in a 27-22 victory over the All Blacks outfit. But the event was marred by a very serious incident of bottle-throwing from the terraces, in sharp contrast to the good spirits and laughing crowds of the nude match.

And a final one for you, rugby expert: the French are now headed to Wellington for next Saturday’s second Test and the chance to become only the second French side to win a Test series in New Zealand after the 1994 team.
