Brooklyn-based musical duo MGMT and their Electric Feel song were quite the inspiration for the July 2009 issue of Madrid-based fashion magazine Tendencias — unless it was another duo going by the name of Air, and their Moon Safari album. The magazine opens with the strangest fashion statement: An albino landscape predicts no-colour era, nuclear white, infinite straight lines. Shorts and après ski sweatshirts turns timeless, as if lack of gravity would ignore time. Cosmic clouds land on shoes and knitwear sweater. Summer marks the line that drives you to the weirdest season of the year.
Electric Feelings, an editorial shot by Marcelo Capizzano, shot on the Italian Riviera — the Argentinian photographer lives and works in Milan — is much easier to understand, with Philip J. as the perfect electric — and athletic — angel driving us… into the weirdest season of the year.
