Founded in 1972 by Chuck Holmes, Falcon Studios made its way to the top of the adult industry in just a few years. Up to the present day — and this treacherous internet age — the company is able to keep this position. Numerous legends of gay porn — such as Chi Chi LaRue, John Rutherford and Steven Scarborough — began their career at Falcon. More recently, Pierre Fitch [above] also started his career with the Californian label, while Sean Lockhart a k a Brent Corrigan [below] arrived looking for a reboot.

Without a doubt one can claim that Falcon is the major provider of gay pin up culture. The look that was shaped with these pictures is by now legendary—and until today it’s an unmistakeable signature: Male and muscular Dreams-come-true, portrayed in high-gloss, pinned up above many beds on both sides of the Atlantic. Ultimate Falcon delivers an extensive overview of over 40 years of Falcon’s iconic promotional glamour shots, usually taken immediately before the film was shot. The massive 400-page photobook was released this month in Europe and will be available stateside in October 2009.

This may be a post about porn, but I’m not exactly sure it’s wise to allow copyright pirates such as the first poster to advertise their blogs which host illegally pirated material.
